March 31 the day of Azerbaijani genocide Tutulanlar üçün məktub Xocalı Mərasimində Tutulanlar üçün məkubu kopy edib aşağida derc olan adreslərə gödərməyinizi xahiş edirik. Mektubda Dear yazisinin qabağinda boş yerə məktub unvanlanan adamin adi yazilmalidir misal : Dear Madam Sylvie Saddier UN Office of the High Commissioner For Human Right ssaddier@ohchr.org Sylvie Saddier-Calame Dear ….. I am writing to urge you to call on the Iranian authorities to release Azerbaijani Turks who were detained for participating in the commemoration of the14th anniversary of the Khojali massacre. Although some of the participants have been released, eight are still detained without a charge or a trial at the Tabriz prison and the Secret police centre (Etelaat). On February 26, 2006, people of South Azerbaijan in Iran gathered in the city of Tabriz to commemorate the Khojali massacre, and to condemn the brutal actions Armenians made against civil people of Khojali, Republic of Azerbaijan on February 26th, 1992. Despite of this being a peaceful demonstration, Iranian police have attacked the demonstrators and arrested more than 60 people of whom 8 are still imprisoned with no charges pressed. The eight individuals are Javad Abbaszadeh, Ismail Amirgherami, Mohammad Yarhun, Mohammad Reza Hallajiyan, Yashar Magham Islami, Rafih Arfaei, Ibrahim Moein, and Mohammad (Eldar) Jalilpour. Khojali massacre took place in Karabakh region of Azerbaijan on February 26, 1992. Armenian troops supported by Russia's motorized Infantry Regiment 366 occupied the city and razed it to the ground. As a result, 613 people were murdered, including women, elderly and children. Families were wiped out, people went missing, civilians were disabled, and many were taken captive (700 of them are still to be freed). Armenians have committed unimaginable atrocities against innocent Azerbaijani civilians, including torture, mutilation, and rape. American journalist, Thomas Goltz, and others who happened to witness the Khojali massacre reported a cold-blooded slaughter with civilians killed in groups or families. The brutality of Armenians in this massacre went beyond the cruelty of German fascists. For people of Azerbaijan the word Khojali has become synonymous with pain, sorrow, and cruelty. So, people of south Azerbaijan gathered to condemn these atrocities and to pay respect to innocent lives lost in this massacre. I urge you and your colleagues to make this a priority by putting pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran to free immediately these fellow citizens. I am asking you to call on Iranian government to release these innocent victims and do everything in your power, as a defender of human rights, to free them. On February 16, 2006, PJAK, a related Iranian faction of the PKK, had organized a protest to mark the 7th anniversary of the capture of PKK's founder, Abdullah Ocalan in the South Azerbaijani city of Maku. In this demonstration, Kurds who were brought from Kurdish regions to Maku, spouted anti-Turkish slogans and attacked the civilians. In this terrorist attacks, many Azerbaijani Turks were targeted and have lost their lives. According to information received from city of Maku, the majority of the kurds who participated in these attacks were not locals. They were kurds from Soleymaniyeh, Snanadaj and other Kurdish cites, who were brought to spread terror in the Azerbaijani region. The South Azerbaijan Independence Party is condemning these acts of terrorism committed by the PKK which is designed to create instability in the South Azerbaijan. We would like to call the attention of the international community to the anti-Turk Kurdish terrorism in this Azerbaijani region. These incidences originate from the claim by Kurdish leaders to some parts of South Azerbaijan. The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan's claim to West Azerbaijani cities is reflected on the maps reports published by the organization. Furthermore, the PKK conducts terrorism in Azerbaijani cities trying to show their presence in this region. We ask for immediate attention to the unrest created by the alien terrorist groups of PKK and DPIK (Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan). This is not the first time that Kurdish terrorist groups have committed atrocities in Azerbaijani regions. Atrocities committed by the Kurdish militia were started by Ismail Simitko, who massacred thousands of Azerbaijani Turks in present south Azerbaijan in 1918 to 1920. Also In the April 1980s,(30/ farvardin/1358) terrorist organizations of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan have killed and terrorized hundreds of innocent people in Sulduz (Naghadeh). Still Kurdish parties do not respect the territorial rights of the Azerbaijani people and continue to claim parts of this region.
